The Fiac Art Festival

Paris is the world’s art capital. From its museums full of the most famous and treasured masterpieces in the world to an ever evolving and always hip contemporary art scene, Paris has it all. That’s why the City of Lights has no problem drawing some of the world’s top artists every year to participate in the annual FIAC. The exhibition in contemporary art will bring top artists and their famous works to the city for a weekend this October. If you find yourself in Paris during this weekend, this could be an ideal way to experience France’s art scene firsthand.

For the 35th year, Paris will host the FIAC, a key event on the international artistic scene. The vent is set to be held at the Grand Palais, in the Tuileries gardens and in the Place Carrée du Louvre, from October 23-26. It will be welcoming 186 of the world’s most prestigious galleries. At the same time, a number of other events are also being held including the Jeff Koons retrospective at the Château de Versailles or “Picasso et les Maîtres” (Picasso and the great masters) at the Grand Palais’ National Galleries. If you are going to be spending any time in France this fall, this is for sure a worthwhile event to pop into. Or, if you happen to be in Paris during these three days, use the event as an opportunity to check out the beautiful Grand Palais, a large glass exhibition hall built for the 1900 World’s Fair. The building itself is a work of art and the exhibit that will inhabit the airy interior space will make it that much better.
